Well, after seeing no snow for umpteen years, Padstow was covered in the white stuff twice in a matter of weeks this March. There were unprecedented scenes of sledging down Duke Street, snow on the estuary beaches and the seagulls really didn’t know what to make of it. Fingers crossed that now we have got to Easter, the weather should have settled down a little, as we have had a number of beautiful spring days already that just make you long for summer!
Talking of Easter, Padstow is now gearing up for the season – everywhere is open, people are starting to arrive, the seagulls are honing their chip stealing techniques and Sandbanks is looking spick and span for you. We have been busy over the winter making improvements to ensure that our guests continue to have the best, most relaxing holiday – and judging by the number of our guests who are making repeat bookings, we think we are doing pretty well in that department.
The most noticeable changes for 2018 are that there are now new Freeview TV’s in all the double bedrooms for when the weather is a little unsettled, and the twin room now has new zip-link beds which can either be made up as two twins or as a superking bed. Please let the team at Harbour Holidays know when you make your booking if you’d like the superking. We also have a new monk’s bench in the first hallway, so you now have somewhere to sit down when putting on or taking off your shoes. We’ve also made plenty of behind the scenes tweaks and improvements which hopefully will make your stay more pleasurable.
We’re super excited for the new season and can’t wait to welcome you to Sandbanks and for you to enjoy Padstow and the north Cornish coast in all its glory.
Wishing you all a very Happy Easter!
